TechCrunch Disrupt 2018 | Final Thoughts

Updated: Sep 17, 2018

Our TechCrunch adventure in San Francisco, you will also see our CEO and founder, Matthew Hansard, giving a one minute speech about our company (which he killed, way to go!).

Inspired; would have to be the word I use to describe my experience at TechCrunch Disrupt this year. The amount of extra brain cells that I feel I've acquired during this three day process has truly shocked me, as well as the shin splints I've developed from walking around for what felt like 78 hours straight. Totally worth it.

This conference truly showed me that the realm of opportunity really has no ceiling. As cheesy as it is, the sky is the limit, literally. From AI technologies to blockchain solutions, Disrupt showcased the most amazing start-up technologies that are waiting for their jump off in order to change the technology industry as we know it.

Final Thoughts was fortunate enough to showcase our booth on the third day of the event. We were able to meet so many individuals who were very passionate for our product almost as much as we were. And as a start-up, that validation alone only added fuel to our already massive passion for this technology we have created. The connections that we made to help us move forward in our journey with Final Thoughts, will help us optimize every step moving forward.

From this conference and all of our newfound education in this space, we are excited to refine our business model for upcoming exhibitions that we have planned. We will be exhibiting at The Ascent Conference in Manhattan, NY this upcoming October and have really focused on honing in on our business model to allow for our success.

Final Thoughts is focusing on connecting loved ones during and after life in the palliative care space, to help in aiding our users to create their own legacy project. This legacy project isn't about dying and death, it's about life and living. How YOU want to be remembered. We encourage all of our users to become the autobiographers of their own lives. At its most basic level, it can be a thoughtful way to spend an afternoon. At its most meaningful, legacy work provides a unique opportunity to reflect on your life and process through the events and people who shaped it. It can be a way to plan for the future. It can be a powerful coping tool not only for you, but for the people around you. Leaving a legacy gives your loved ones something to hold on to, something that can provide healing and comfort year after year. It's a reminder of who you were, what you loved, what was important and the contributions you made. One of the most important things to know about legacy work is that there are no rules, no restrictions, no limitations and no eligibility criteria. A legacy project using Final thoughts can turn thoughts into actions.

We are so inspired to continue our journey with this technology we have created, and we are so ready for our app to launch within the coming weeks. This technology will pave the way for emotion and technology to intertwine, and we couldn't be more excited about it. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to keep up with our journey and for news on the launch of our app.
